What to do if I'm getting Curl error code: 35 in my logs

Modified on Mon, 10 Jun at 9:52 AM

Here’s an example of a Curl error caused by restricted communication with the Rublon API on TCP port 443:

2024-06-01 11:33:49.272017 [0x00001390] [0x0000109c] [info] [{xxx}] "[RublonAuthenticationAction] [domain\user|{xxx}] The following error occurred during authentication: Curl returned error: SSL connect error (code: '35'). Details: schannel: next InitializeSecurityContext failed: Unknown error (0x80092013) - The revocation function was unable to check revocation because the revocation server was offline.. Description of error codes can be found here: https://curl.se/libcurl/c/libcurl-errors.html, bypassing user, since fail mode is bypass"

If you are experiencing such or similar issues with Rublon MFA for RD Gateway and your logs show a similar Curl error code of 35, ensure that your firewall is not blocking the communication on TCP port 443. Refer to the articles listed in the Helpful Links section for more information.
