Where can I find the log file(s)?

Log files contain information about errors and warnings that occur when you are using Rublon.


Analyzing log files can help us troubleshoot your issue. For this reason, we always recommend that customers attach their log file(s) when they contact Rublon Support.


Some connectors may produce more than one log file. For example, the Rublon for Remote Desktop Gateway connector creates a new log file after the log file has exceeded 1MB or become older than 24 hours.


Refer to the following table for the location of the log file(s) in all Rublon connectors and applications:

In the %tmp% folder by default unless it was overridden by the /log parameter during Silent Mode installation.

/var/log/messages (CentOS and Red Hat)
or
/var/log/syslog (Ubuntu and Debian)

Rublon for Remote Desktop Gateway 

C:\Rublon\RDG\Logs\Rublon-RDG.log

If an installation error occurs, the ExtendedLogs.log file is created in the directory where you have launched the installer.

Rublon for RD Web Access

C:\Rublon\RDWeb\RublonRDWebAccess.log

If an installation error occurs, the ExtendedLogs.log file is created in the directory where you have launched the installer.

Rublon for RD Web Client

C:\Rublon\RDWeb\RublonRDWebAccess.log

If an installation error occurs, the ExtendedLogs.log file is created in the directory where you have launched the installer.

Rublon for Outlook Web App (OWA)

C:\Rublon\OWA\RublonOWA.log

If an installation error occurs, the ExtendedLogs.log file is created in the directory where you have launched the installer.

Rublon for AD FS

Event Viewer → Applications and Services Logs → Rublon for AD FS


To export:

Right-click, select Save All Events As, and save as TXT

Event Viewer → Applications and Services Logs → Installer for Rublon for AD FS
