What to do if I opened Outbound Port 443 but still cannot connect to the Rublon API?

Modified on Tue, 6 Feb at 11:57 AM

Rublon connectors communicate with the Rublon API via TCP Port 443. For that reason, you have to open Outbound Port 443 on your firewall for https://core.rublon.net/.

If you opened port 443 on your firewall but still are experiencing issues, a possible cause is that the SSL Inspection feature on your firewall is still blocking the connection. By default, firewalls block connections that do not meet the requirements set in the SSL Inspection policy. If your firewall inspects packets of web service calls and re-encrypts them with its own certificate, it may block *.rublon.net.

We recommend you exclude https://core.rublon.net/ in your firewall’s SSL Inspection policy for packet inspection and re-encryption. This should fix the issue.

If you excluded Rublon from your firewall’s SSL Inspection policy but are still experiencing the issue, please contact Rublon Support.
