If your users want to use the SMS Passcode and SMS Link authentication methods, they can add their phone number themselves using the Manage Authenticators view. Alternatively, an administrator can add their mobile device along with their phone number in the Rublon Admin Console.

How can a user activate the SMS authentication methods themselves?

The user must follow the following guide: How to add a mobile phone number?.

How can an admin activate the SMS authentication methods for a user?

1. Sign in to the Rublon Admin Console and select the Users tab.

2. Click the username of the user that you want to edit.

3. If they already have a device under Phone, delete it.

4. Add their phone by clicking the Add Phone button and entering the user’s phone number.

5. Ask your user to sign in again to their application (or press F5) so that the Rublon Prompt is displayed again. They should now see the SMS Passcode and SMS Link authentication methods as active.

(Note that the SMS Passcode and SMS Link authentication methods will only be active if your organization has enough Phone Credits.)
