To check if you are using the new Remote Desktop Web Client or the old Remote Desktop Web Access, inspect the URL:
https://fqdn/RDWeb/webclient/index.html - you are using the Remote Desktop Web Client.
https://fqdn/RDWeb/Pages/en-US/login.aspx - you are using the Remote Desktop Web Access.
Inspecting the URL can tell you which one you are using.
