How to enable MFA for a specific user group while bypassing all others?

Modified on Tue, 22 Oct at 8:24 AM

Way 1: Use AD Sync to synchronize an Active Directory group into the Rublon Admin Console

If you are using an LDAP server like Active Directory, you can:

1. Enable AD Sync (See: How to synchronize users from Active Directory using Directory Sync).

2. Sync the Active Directory group that includes users who should have MFA enabled into the Rublon Admin Console. After sync, make sure the newly created group has its status set to Active.

3. Sign in to the Rublon Admin Console.

4. In the Settings tab, set the Enrollment Type to Manual and Handling of unknown users to Bypass.

Way 2: Create a new user group in the Rublon Admin Console

1. Sign in to the Rublon Admin Console.

2. In the Settings tab, set the Enrollment Type to Manual and Handling of unknown users to Bypass.

3. In the Groups tab, create a new user group and set its status to Active. (See: How to add group).

4. In the Users tab, add users in your organization to the newly created group. (See: How to add users to group).
