Rublon Authentication Proxy needs the SEARCH_DN attribute to search for groups of users that will authenticate with the Rublon Authentication Proxy. The value you need to set SEARCH_DN to is usually your company’s AD FQDN.

To find the FQDN:

  1. Go to Start → Programs → Administrative Tools → Active Directory Domains and Trusts.

  2. In the left pane, under Active Directory Domains and Trusts, you can find the FQDN.

Note: You can also find the FQDN by going to Control Panel → System and Security → System and looking up the Full computer name.

If you use Linux and an LDAP server other than Active Directory, like OpenLDAP or FreeIPA, you can find the FQDN in the following way:

  1. Open a Terminal

  2. Type hostname -A

  3. Command returns the Fully Qualified Domain Name
