Can laptop fingerprint readers be used with Rublon MFA?

Modified on Mon, 26 May at 3:27 PM

Built-in fingerprint readers on laptops can be used with Windows Hello as a means of unlocking the passkey stored on the laptop. Rublon supports Windows Hello as a platform authenticator (WebAuthn) to use as a multi-factor authentication method for any Rublon integrations compatible with the WebAuthn/U2F Security Key authentication method. As a result, you can use a passkey saved on your device as a Rublon MFA authenticator and unlock access to this passkey during each login using the built-in fingerprint scanner on your laptop.

However, built-in laptop fingerprint readers cannot be used as biometric authenticators in Rublon MFA for the second factor in MFA.
